  • 'I have received nothing but wonderful care from the clinical and reception staff on my recent visits over the past few months. The reception staff were friendly and the GP I attended was very caring and reassuring, with excellent patient care. I was always on time or within 10 minutes of my appointment time. As a busy working mum I have registered myself for the online services, which solves the problem of having to ring up to make an appointment, a service I recommend to other patients. I don't think people understand how difficult it can be for a GP practice to try and meet the demands of today's patients. What you have here is a committed team of GPs, nurses and admin staff who are working hard daily to give patients their best service and care. A lovely surgery and I certainly have no complaints.'June 2015

  • 'I recently applied to join the RAF but my application was rejected as I had declared that I had symptoms of asthma as a child.  I lodged an appeal and the asthma nurse and my GP from Reedyford Health Care were very supportive and carried out a series of tests to prove that I do not suffer from the condition.  The practice provided me with a written report to this effect which resulted in my application being reinstated.  I can't thank the practice enough for all their help.'April 2015

  • 'Last Thursday I had a general appointment at Reedyford Health Care at the Yarnspinners site with Dr Grasso.  I wish to pass on my best wishes to him.  On this particular day he was being observed by Dr Ashworth.  He explained clearly to me why the other doctor was present and asked if it was OK.  Dr Grasso was confident, polite, professional and approachable.  He will be a great credit to the team at Reedyford and want to wish him well.'March 2015
  • 'I feel I must write something about my recent visit to Reedyford Health Care, the treatment and service I received was outstanding.  As I do not visit the doctors regularly I am always a bit nervous.  The doctor was running on time and being a tea time appointment I was very impressed.  The doctor introduced himself and explained to me why another doctor was observing them.  I cannot praise the doctor enough.  He was polite, professional and approachable.  Credit where credit is due, god bless the NHS.'March 2015

  • 'I would like it to be known that during routine appointment, Sr Clarkson noticed that I was having problems breathing. I was wheezy and hyperventilating, and becoming anxious. She arranged for a GP to see me. A chest infection was diagnosed and he diagnosed antibiotics and steroid tablets. If Sr Clarkson had not intervened, I would have gone home and become very poorly indeed.During another appointment with Sr Clarkson, she realised again I was having the symptoms as described above, and again a GP saw me. Whilst I was waiting for the GP to see me, the nurse sat me in a quiet place and made me a cup of tea, and tried to calm me down. I cannot express how thankful I am to Sr Clarkson.   • 'My wife and I are extremely grateful to the practice's sister and our doctor who were so very kind and caring to my wife, Brenda, when a routine blood pressure test showed a dangerously high reading. Their reassurance and encouragement meant the problem was resolved by a two night stay in Hospital. The follow up phone calls by the Sister were a surprise and beyond what could have been expected.   • 'I recently went to see the nurse at Reedyford Health Care at Yarnspinners in Nelson. I was early for my appointment so while sitting in the waiting area I was captivated by all the interesting leaflets, health advise and local health promotion items on display. I was then seen by a very professional approachable nurse. Furthermore I regularly use the online 'Patient Access' prescription ordering service, this saves me a lot of time and phone calls to the surgery.
