Dr Aaron Poppleton
Originally from the East Midlands, I studied Medicine with European Studies at the University of Manchester, graduating in 2011. Since then I have completed my foundation medical training in Preston, worked in Germany in Internal Medicine and Research, and studied for a post-graduate diploma in Global Health with the University of Edinburgh. During this time I was also fortunate to undertake educational attachments in Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Croatia and Ukraine. In 2014 I returned to Lancashire to commence GP training, spending time working in: A+E, Elderly Care, ENT, Dermatology, Ophthalmology and Psychiatry. I am academic GP trainee meaning that I will be working at Reedyford Health Care part-time for two years, while also studying for a Master’s Degree in Clinical Research at the University of Central Lancashire. I have an interest in mental health and hope to focus my research dissertation on this topic. I enjoy spending my free time with my wife and daughter, being part of an active local church, and when opportunity allows, travelling and teaching overseas.
